Microneedling involves the use of tiny needles to penetrate through the skin to induce a wound-healing reaction. This results in hundreds of microchannels created in the skin which increases the delivery of the product and stimulates the production of new collagen and elastin.
The treatment works very well when it comes to treating scars such as post acne scarring, stretch marks as well as fine lines and wrinkles, and often results in smoother, firmer, more toned skin.
We use SkinPen to carry out treatments - SkinPen has revolutionised micro skin needling, making it easier, safer and less painful to get maximum results by using skin precision. SkinPen also produces significantly more microchannels.
Multiple treatments are required for best results when it comes to microneedling and they vary from patient to patient. Normally immediately after treatment, skin will appear red, but this will reduce in the hours after treatment.

Numbing cream is applied prior to treatment which helps to reduce the discomfort caused. Skin with appear red and possibly sore after treatment but this will subside.
Patients normally return to work a few days after treatment.
Continued treatments are required for best results. During your consultation, we will suggest how many sessions of microneedling you will benefit from.
